SCHOOLMAX
With the introduction of SchoolMax and the Family Portal last school year,
parents and guardians can now track students work and attendance for each
class. Parents should have account information and a key code to access
this system. Instructions on how to get account information and a key code are
available from the school.
Key features of the Family Portal are: A student may have two accounts set
up for separate households. Parents can access the following student
information: attendance, grades, schedule and discipline events. Parents can
select from the following links to view specific information: Attendance, Schedule,
Gradebook, Progress Report, Discipline and My Profile.
The Attendance link provides a list of classes, which you can sort by
period, educator, etc. Parents can view high school absences by period.
The Schedule link provides a list of all classes which cycle (Cycle 1 or
Cycle 2) and the ability for the parent to view multiple academic school years.
The Grade Book link provides the course ID, course name, term, period and
instructor. Parents can view assignments in the following categories: Classwork,
Homework and Test/Quizzes; provided teachers have entered the assignments.
Teachers must enter two assignments per week. You can also view your child's
unofficial transcript.
The Discipline link provides information from the PS-74. This includes:
Incident Date, Incident Time, Event, Referred by ID, Response, Response from
Date, Response to Date and the Administrator has the capability to add notes.
A new feature this year is the addition of student accounts. Students can
log onto SchoolMax and view their individual grade and attendance
information. They will not have access to their siblings information or
the discipline tab.
Like any new system, SchoolMax will experience growing pains until
everyone is online and every feature has been released for use. The
Family Portal does not contain HSA test scores, service learning hours or
cumulative grade point averages. We hope to see these updates in the
future. As new features are released in Schoolmax we'll keep you
updated.
